Here are five must-visit swimming spots close to the campsite, perfect for cooling off while enjoying the beautiful landscapes of the Drôme.

The Roubion River

The Roubion River

Just a few minutes from the campsite, the Roubion is the perfect place to cool off without travelling far. This river flows through Bourdeaux and follows the D538 road towards Saoû before turning towards the village of Pont-de-Barret. It offers many easily accessible natural swimming spots.

After a morning hike or a visit to the village of Bourdeaux, a refreshing swim in the Roubion is always a real pleasure.

Bourdeaux Swimming Pool

Bourdeaux Swimming Pool

For those who prefer a more comfortable place to swim or facilities suitable for children, the municipal swimming pool in Bourdeaux is an excellent alternative. Completely renovated in 2024, it is located just 3 km from the campsite. It features a large pool and a paddling pool for younger children.

Usually quiet and uncrowded, it is the perfect place to cool off during the hottest summer days.

The Drôme River

The Drôme River

A stay in the Drôme would not be complete without discovering its iconic river. Around 30 minutes from the campsite, the Drôme River offers beautiful natural beaches, especially near Piégros-la-Clastre, Saillans and Crest. Its crystal-clear water, wide pebble beaches and unspoilt scenery make it one of the finest swimming destinations in the region.

Nature lovers will also enjoy the many picnic areas, while more adventurous visitors can try canoeing.

About 45 minutes from the campsite, the Roanne Valley is one of the natural gems of the Drôme. This wild river, renowned for the exceptional quality of its water, winds through an unspoilt valley filled with pebble beaches, gentle rapids and natural pools.

Along the road between Vercheny and Saint-Nazaire-le-Désert, numerous access points lead to peaceful swimming spots. Nature lovers will appreciate the tranquillity, limestone cliffs and lush vegetation lining the river.
